Canmore Classic Race Location
Canmore Nordic Centre
Just 5 minutes from the town of Canmore, the Canmore Nordic Centre provides an exceptional venue for the Canmore Classic.
Designed and developed as the site for the Nordic skiing events for the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, the Canmore Nordic Centre offers over 70 kilometres of world-class cross-country and biathlon trail systems, at an average elevation of 1425 metres, providing the ideal terrain for an exciting weekend of sled dog racing.
The Nordic Centre has a day lodge which offers a relaxing atmosphere, large stone fireplace, cafeteria, day lockers, washrooms & showers.
Alternative Location
In the unfortunate event that there is insufficient snow at the Canmore Nordic Centre, the race may be relocated to Spray Lake Reservoir. Registration will still take place on Friday February 2, 2007 at the Canmore Nordic Centre.
